Blue Springs Amateur Radio Club

I have a new addition to the CyberDunks Hosted Sites. They are the Blue Springs Amateur Radio Club located online at http://www.bsarc.us

Here is their mission statement:

"Providing Radio Communications for Eastern Jackson County, MO

To serve amateur radio through serving the community, the club, and the region, with support in our expertise in two-way radio communications, To help our local law enforcement and public safety officials of the Blue Springs Police Dept. and the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, and adjacent areas when fully staffed by our club, by providing storm spotting at our best of abilities, by formulating locations that would be best for severe weather watching. To help run communications in the lost child patrol for the Fall Fun Festival, and walking amongst the crowd as points the public can get in touch with us to start a sweep and communicate with the police which is also another way we help alleviate their duties. We are serving our community by the use of two repeaters our club run, one for 2m and one for 70cm, spreading our spectrum and abilities by use of multiple frequencies. As amateur radio operators, we are not limited to just those two frequency spectrums, as we can use direct communications using other bands as well. We are looking to furthering our future and our abilities to serve the public by assisting with our abilities, expertise, and knowledge, keep us in mind!"

I am glad to be hosting this site for the people who could, in severe situations save my life and the life's of many others in the event of a natural disaster in my and surrounding areas. I'm pleased to have been invited to some of their functions even though I personally am not an Amateur Radio Operator. I believe that the work that they do is more important then anyone could ever realize.
